SkyTeam is one of the three largest global airline alliances.
An airline alliance is a co-operation among a group of airlines that offers the customers the benefits of a combined network.

The next year, two more European airlines – Alitalia and CSA Czech Airlines – joined the SkyTeam alliance and significantly increased the strength of SkyTeam Alliance. In 2004 KLM, Continental Airlines and Northwest joined SkyTeam followed by Aeroflot in 2005.
In 2007 the alliance will strengthen its presence in Africa by welcoming Kenya Airways. Later in the year 2 other airlines will join in SkyTeam: Copa Airlines of Panama and Air Europe of Spain. Together, these 3 airlines will add another 25 destinations to SkyTeam’s network and strengthen the alliance partnership further.
